Sean Davidson - Missionary of the Most Holy Eucharist |

Is your parish interested in renewing its Eucharistic Adoration program, or coordinating a parish mission focused on Perpetual Adoration?
Catholic Adoration is pleased to announce Sean Davidson will be in the United States February through March 2011.
Sean Davidson is a member of the Missionaries of the Most Holy Eucharist, a new public clerical association based in southeast France. It is a small Eucharistic Community founded canonically in 2007 by Bishop Dominique Rey (Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon) and Fr. Florian Racine for the promotion of Eucharistic Adoration in the Church.
Born in London, England in 1979, Sean spent much of his childhood and youth with his family in Ireland and it was there that he encountered the Lord at the age of 21. He decided to enter formation for the sacred priesthood in the summer of 2004 and this call was accompanied by a strong desire to make Jesus in the Eucharist known and loved. Thus he made the decision to go to France and assist with the project of Bishop Rey and Fr. Florian to establish a missionary community of adorer-priests dedicated to this end.
Having completed his priestly studies in the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome in 2009, Sean was ordained a deacon in Toulon, France in June 2010.
Sean will be ordained a priest on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 26, 2011 in France. In addition to his missionary and pastoral work in Europe, he is regularly available to preach conferences and parish missions for perpetual adoration as well as spiritual retreats in the United States. The spirituality of his association is based especially upon the writings of St. Peter Julian Eymard, the Apostle of the Holy Eucharist, canonized by Pope John XXIII at the time of the Second Vatican Council. There are also several lay and religious associate members of this association, some of whom reside in the United States.
Contact Carol Kassick if you are interested in bringing Sean Davidson to visit your parish early next year. email:

Christ the King in Daphne, Alabama to begin Perpetual Adoration on Ash Wednesday |
On March 9, 2011, Christ the King Parish in Daphne, Alabama will honor Jesus and Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament will begin without end. Over 500 committed adorers from Saint Lawrence Parish, Shrine of the Holy Cross, and Christ the King have answered “yes” to serve as guardians of the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All 168 hours of the week have a committed adorer and many hours have 6-8 adorers each. This beautiful outpouring of faith and love will enable everyone the opportunity to visit with Jesus any time during the day or night. Christ the King’s chapel in Daphne will be the only perpetual adoration chapel south of Montgomery and east of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Below is a photo of the final meeting held on Tuesday, February 22nd with all Adorers in preparation for the start of perpetual adoration.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II were living examples of the fruits of Eucharistic Adoration. No matter how busy they were or how many important people they had to see, they made sure that they spent time with the most important Person of all: Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Every day they spent 2 to 3 hours in His Eucharistic Presence, and they told the whole world that this is where they got all their energy to do so much for God and His people. "The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this Sacrament of Love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet Him in Adoration, in contemplation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious offenses and crimes of the world. Let our Adoration never cease." Pope John Paul II
Perpetual Adoration is the solution to deepen your relationship with Jesus. Just as you would with any human friend or your spouse, you have to make a concerted effort to get to know Him better. You have to spend time with Him, and speak with Him often. In other words, you need to spend time in prayer.
Eucharistic Adoration is the best way we have on this earth to spend a long time in quiet conversation with Jesus. You'll recall that just before Jesus physically left the apostles and ascended to the Father, he reassured them, "And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20) This statement is fulfilled in the reality of Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist, in the hands of the priest at Mass each day, reserved in the tabernacles in the heart of our churches, and right before our very eyes in Eucharistic Adoration. |

Prayer Requests
Catholic Adoration is asking all Adorers to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for our priests and for vocations to religious life. The following prayer from Saint Maria Faustina's Diary would be appropriate
"O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord.
Lord, give us holy priests; You Yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil's traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. AMEN." (Diary of St. Maria Faustina, 1052) |
